Submission & Review Policy

All manuscripts undergo rigorous double-blind peer review. Here is exactly what to expect from submission through to a final decision.

Submission Requirements

All manuscripts submitted to IJED must:

  • Original work not previously published or under review elsewhere
  • Written in clear, grammatically correct English
  • Follows the journal's formatting and style guidelines
  • Includes a structured abstract of 150–250 words
  • Provides 4–6 relevant keywords
  • Includes a conflict of interest statement

Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo rigorous double-blind peer review — both reviewer and author remain anonymous.

    Initial Screening

    Within 1 week

    Editorial team checks scope and formatting compliance.

  2. 2

    Plagiarism Check

    Within 1 week

    Manuscript screened using Turnitin.

  3. 3

    Peer Review

    4–6 weeks

    Assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers.

  4. 4

    Editorial Decision

    Within 1 week

    Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject — based on reviewer feedback.

  5. 5

    Revision & Re-review

    Within 4 weeks

    Revised manuscripts re-evaluated by the same or new reviewers if necessary.

Review Timeline

Editorial Decisions

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on all submitted manuscripts based on reviewer recommendations and the editorial policy of the journal. All decisions are final and binding.
