Author Guidelines
The following guidelines for prospective authors apply:
- 1Manuscripts include research outcomes (field or library research) and book reviews encouraging critical and innovative theoretical debates.
- 2The manuscript is original work of the author, has never been published, and is not under review elsewhere.
- 3The manuscript topic must align with the focus and scope of IJED.
- 4The author must ensure the manuscript is free of any form of plagiarism.
- 5Manuscripts must be written in English. Research articles follow the structure: title, author name, abstract + keywords, introduction, literature review, methods, discussion/analysis, conclusion, and references.
- 6The title cannot exceed 16 words. Type it left-aligned in lowercase at 14pt.
- 7Author names are written without academic degrees, followed by institutional affiliation, placed below the title.
- 8The abstract (150–250 words) should summarise the purpose, approach, and main findings.
- 9Keywords should avoid general or plural terms; no more than six words or phrases.
- 10Manuscript typed in MS-Word, 5,500–8,500 words in Cambria 12pt with 1.5 spacing; 1,000–1,500 words for book reviews.
- 11Tables and figures must have clear titles, numbers, sources, and be typed in single spacing.
- 12Citation and reference format must follow APA style.
- 13The bibliography must include at least 15 different sources.
- 14Submit through the journal website by creating a user account as an author.
- 15Manuscripts must follow the provided template.
Guidelines for Book Reviews

Include at the beginning: Author, Title, Place, Publisher, Date, number of pages, ISBN.
E.g., Turabian, Kate L. A Manual for Writers of Term Papers, Theses, and Dissertations. Sixth edition. Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1996. 308 pp. ISBN: 0-226-81627-3. - 2Begin with a brief overall description of the book.
- 3Consider strengths/weaknesses, author's style, whether aims are met, typographical errors, target audience, and purchase recommendation.
- 4Average review: ~1,500 words. Include reviewer name, affiliation, and email at the end.
- 5Preferred format: MS-Word.
